In the West is crazy! That's the best way to describe it.
West:
Lakers vs Thunder - 1 vs 8. This series should be over by now right. Well it's getting close. While the Thunder showed in games 3 & 4 that they are a force to be wrecking with when they play at home; the LakeSHOW reminded the youngsters that it's not their time yet. The Lakers gave us a masterpiece in game 5. The Lakers will once again step it up in game 6 and will send the Thunder home for the season. Don't feel bad for the Thunder. This is just part of the learning process. They have such a bright future with Durant, Westbrooke, Green, Ibaka and Harden all under the age of 25. All they need is a quality experienced veteran to convert them into championship contenders.
Mavs vs Spurs - The Mavs are going to give Mark Cuban a heart attack. With their backs against the wall the Mavs are going to have to go into San Antonio and steal the game. I think the Mavs can do it. The series will come will be defined in Game 6. If the Spurs are going to finish off the Mavs, they are going to have to do it in San Antonio. How high will Marc Cuban's blood pressure be during Game 6?
Suns vs Blazers - The Blazers have put up a valiant effort, but I think this series will end in Game 6. The Suns simply have too much firepower for the Blazers. It's obvious Brando Roy is nowhere near 100% and to be honest he shouldn't even be out on the court. He is hurting the Blazers more than helping them. I think the Blazers will come out inspired in front of their home crowd in Game 6. The Suns will need to withstand the initial burst of energy from the Blazers and then settle down and play their game.
Nuggets vs Jazz - I really like the Nuggets, but I don't think they can bounce back and win 3 games in a row against the tough and physical Jazz. Things started going down hill for the Nuggets when Martin got hurt, than their coach was sidelined and now they are visibly losing confidence. They might win Game 5 in Denver, but I would be shocked if they won in Utah. As for the Jazz, it's a typical Jerry Sloan coached team. The Jazz never change their style of play. It's going to be interesting to see how Sloan works Okur and AK47 back into the lineup.
